Rhode Island State Higher Education Board Approves In-State Tuition for Undocumented Students.

On Monday, September 26, 2011, the Higher Education Board in the State of Rhode Island unanimously voted to approve a measure granting in-state college tuition for undocumented students in that state. The measure, scheduled to go into effect in 2012, makes the state of Rhode Island the 12th state in the United States to provide access to in-state tuition for undocumented youth who graduate high school and look to attend a local college or university.
